IVANS Exchange — Real-Time Agency Communication Information

Making sure you take full advantage of all the technology available to your agency is a key way to maximize the productivity of individual staff members and the organization as a whole. Streamlining communication between your agency and your carrier partners is key to cutting out as much manual data entry as possible from your agency. I wrote about how to use the IVANS Connection Report last November to make sure your agency was using all of the download capability available to you.

While the information in the report was very helpful, it was a bit cumbersome to obtain and use. IVANS has fixed that with its new IVANS Exchange Agency Portal.

This new portal replaces the previous Excel report and is a tool your agency can use to quickly view and manage your carrier download connections on demand. The graphical agency dashboard provides a comprehensive view of the agency’s current and potential download activity with carriers. It includes an on-demand IVANS Connections Report, download usage reports, and current industry news regarding agency interface.

Clicking on the Connections tab shows a list of your current download partners. A grid by carrier partner and line of business and type of download, such as Activity Notes, provides a quick view of the download currently implemented for the agency. It also highlights download that is available but not currently used by your agency.

An interesting option is the ability to mark on the grid download options you would like a particular carrier to implement. This information can be used by IVANS to demonstrate to individual insurance companies the number of their agents who are requesting specific download capability.

It’s easy to get started. If you already know your IVANS user ID and password, simply use that information to log in.

If you don’t know your IVANS user ID and password go to: http://ivansinsurance.com/access-ivans-exchange and complete the information on the form. Your login credentials will be sent to you.
