Are you using Social Media? – Survey
Jason Hoeppner of B. H. Burke & Co. has been an active participant in using social media (what I call social technologies) for his firm. He has been involved in several industry groups including the Big I’s Agent’s Council for Technology (ACT) Social Web Work Group as well as a presenter in several social networking webinars.
His firm is conducting a survey to gauge how our industry (agencies and carriers) are using social media. Hoeppner stated, “I think that we are often looking at limited data when it comes to what is being used, and it is difficult to see what sort of return on investment folks are having in Social Media. Too often our evidence is anecdotal and not driven by metrics. I wanted to at least start us in that direction so we put together this online survey (using SurveyGizmo) to gather as much input as we can.”
Hoeppner continued, “The survey results will at least provide some sort of baseline to refer to when talking about Social Media and its impact in the insurance industry.”
The online survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and will be open till October 31. Only one individual from each agency or carrier should complete the survey. B. H. Burke & Co. will develop a report of the results and then email it to the survey respondents and provide it to various industry organizations that are interested.
As stated in the survey itself, B. H. Burke & Co. will only use the contact information requested in the survey to provide the survey results and will not share it or use it for marketing purposes.
I encourage you to take the few minutes required to complete the survey as I do believe it will provide valuable information for the industry. You can start the survey by going to the link below. If you do not have time to complete the survey in one session you will be able to return later to complete it.
