During the month of July, IIABA Trusted Choice will donate $10 for every new “like” on their Facebook Page in the hopes of sponsoring and funding the wishes of as many as 20 children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Trusted Choice will donate up to $300,000 with a minimum of $100,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Check out Make-A-Wish Foundation if you are not familiar with them.

In addition to “liking” the Trusted Choice page yourself, you can help get the word out as broadly as possible by encouraging followers on your social media, as well as your clients, to do the same.

You will also help multiply the impact of the independent agents’ Trusted Choice brand in this way. And those who decide to “like” the Trusted Choice page will get regular consumer risk management tips and positive information about the valuable role that independent agents play in the market price.

Trusted Choice agents should also consider blogging about this July campaign to their clients, providing a great opportunity for the agency to discuss the advantage in independent agent brings to the insurance shopping process. Go to Trusted Choice for sample wording, ads and graphics you can use.

In addition to helping a great charity, this is also a great example of what your agency can do using social technology tools to help a favorite local charity and at the same time broaden the agencies visibility on social platforms.
