Using videos for both marketing and customer service can be a great option, especially if you want to attract younger generations. There are many tools available to help you easily create videos that you can use on your website for prospects and clients, as well as for training purposes within your agency.

The number of video editing tools available allows any size agency to put together a basic video recording studio. Cost generally runs between $500 and $1,000. Here are some specific recommendations:

    • Microsoft Movie Maker: This is a free downloadable program from Microsoft that enables basic editing of captured video.
    • Snagit Screen Capture: With just a few clicks, Snagit allows you to capture a snapshot of anything you can see on your computer screen.
    • Camtasia Studio: From the same company as Snagit, Camtasia allows you to record and show exactly what’s on your screen. The cost is about $300.
    • Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 10: This is the video editing product I am now using. It allows you to create production quality video without having to learn production techniques and is easy to use. The cost is $100, plus the cost of a camera.
